Independent financial information
MoneyPilot Canada is an independent Canadian financial-information website. We’re not a bank, brokerage, lender, insurer or political organization.
Our goal is simple: useful financial tools, clear explanations and relevant Canadian financial news without corporate spin or hidden agendas.
Built by Canadians, for Canadians.
Our calculators show their assumptions, our articles link to primary sources whenever possible, and commercial relationships will never determine the results our calculators produce or the conclusions of our editorial content.
How we make money
MoneyPilot Canada may eventually earn revenue through advertising, affiliate partnerships or referrals. When that happens, those relationships will be disclosed clearly. Compensation will not change our calculator formulas, methodology or editorial standards.
Editorial principles
- Primary sources first: CRA, Bank of Canada, CMHC, OSFI, Statistics Canada and other authoritative Canadian sources are preferred for current facts.
- Show the math: important calculator assumptions belong on the methodology page, not behind a black box.
- Separate scenarios from predictions: hypothetical returns, Bitcoin prices and mortgage rates are labelled as assumptions.
- Correct mistakes: when a formula or source changes, the goal is to update it rather than defend an outdated result.

V1.7 upgrades the RRSP vs TFSA calculator with an automatic 2026 Canadian tax-rate estimator. Users can enter their province or territory, current income, expected retirement income and annual RRSP/RRIF withdrawal. MoneyPilot uses official federal and provincial/territorial tax brackets to estimate the current RRSP tax-saving rate and the average tax rate on the retirement withdrawal, while preserving manual override controls and all prior SEO, mobile, mortgage-rate, news and calculator features.
