MoneyPilot Canada uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website usage, including page views, calculator interactions and article-to-calculator clicks. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process technical information such as browser/device information, approximate location and page activity.
The current calculators run in your browser and do not require a MoneyPilot account. Avoid entering personally identifying information into calculator fields.
Optional AI Debt Coach
The Debt Payoff page calculates the avalanche repayment plan locally in your browser. If you explicitly click “Explain my plan with AI,” MoneyPilot sends anonymized debt balances, APRs, minimum payments and calculated repayment stages through a server-side endpoint to OpenAI for a plain-language explanation. User-created debt names are not sent. Do not enter account numbers or identifying information into debt labels.
Mortgage-rate sources
The mortgage-rate comparison is retrieved server-side from public rate sources and the Bank of Canada. Your browser requests the compiled data from MoneyPilot's `/api/mortgage-rates` endpoint. Clicking a lender/source link takes you to an external website and that site's privacy practices apply.
Automatic news feed
The Latest Updates section requests current official Canadian financial-news items through a MoneyPilot server-side endpoint. Visitors are shown the source headline, date, short source summary where available, and a link to the original publisher. Clicking an external article takes you to that publisher's website and its privacy practices apply.
Bitcoin spot-price service
The Bitcoin calculator retrieves BTC spot prices server-side from Coinbase's public price API. Your browser requests the data from MoneyPilot's own `/api/btc` endpoint rather than connecting directly to Coinbase for the calculator value.
Third-party market data widgets
The Markets page embeds third-party widgets provided by TradingView. When those widgets load, your browser connects to TradingView and may share technical information such as your IP address, browser/device information and page request information according to TradingView's own privacy practices. MoneyPilot Canada does not control TradingView's cookies or data processing.
Future advertising or affiliate tools
If MoneyPilot adds advertising, affiliate tracking, forms or account features, this policy should be updated before those features are launched.
