Mortgage Rates Canada

Compare banks and credit unions.

See current publicly advertised mortgage-rate comparisons from major Canadian banks and selected credit unions, plus the Bank of Canada's weekly major-bank posted-rate benchmark.

Important rate disclosure

Posted or advertised does not always mean “best available.”

The rates shown are publicly advertised or comparison rates and are provided for planning purposes. They may not be the lowest rate an institution can offer you. Banks, credit unions and mortgage lenders can sometimes offer lower promotional, discretionary or negotiated rates depending on your application, credit profile, down payment, mortgage type, relationship with the institution and current promotions.

MoneyPilot tip: before accepting a rate, contact the lender or a mortgage representative directly and ask: “What is the best rate you can offer me today for this mortgage and term?”
